6502em version 4.00 released!

Posted by The Doctor on 19:19, 2/4/2005 | ,

Major news for emulation fans as one of the best BBC emulators gets even better.Murklesoft have updated 6502em with a number of new important features:
  • Iyonix compatible
  • Runs in High res pixel doubled mode
  • Direct loading of Disc Images
  • Loads most UEF files
  • VIA timer code rewritten
  • Tested on Virtual RISC OS
All of this is great news. Loading of UEF files is most important as the vast majority of BBC software on the web is now in this format.
The ability to run in pixel doubled modes should remove any problems that some monitors have with displaying low resolution screen modes and the rewritting of the VIA timer means that Skirmish and Nutcracker now work.
Have a look at the Murklesoft website for more information and order your copy today.

Unregistered user What is the game shown on Murklesoft's web-page?

You've forgot the most important news of all - it now runs in the desktop!

Also I think it will still load tapes using !Tapes if you have any or get any from Ebay and want to try to see if they still work.
