Getting ready for Wakefield

Posted by Phil Mellor on 18:49, 5/5/2003 | , , , ,

WakefieldWith less than a week to go until the Wakefield Show we've put together a preview of everything that's going on. It summarises the various product announcements we've received over the past fortnight, and we've spoken to the companies involved to find out exactly what special offers and exhibits they'll have.

It's practically the show report in itself - but you'll have to wait until the day in question for that. Meanwhile Drobe have been commenting upon some rumours of a forthcoming laptop.

Personally I'm not expecting too much from these rumours of a laptop.
Should be an interesting show though.
I get the feeling that the year following this show will be the moment of truth for the RISC OS platform.
The platform must visibly grow in order to survive IMO.
Not sure how this will happen in view of the increasing levels of fragmentation we are seeing, but we must remain optimistic.

I'm looking forward to it.
Cheers!

Unregistered user By the way, the surname of the "all things ArtWorks" master is "Würthner". If you don't have an Umlaut handy, the replacement would be "Wuerthner".

Now go and quickly change that Wakefield preview ;-)

Drobe are going on about iconbar having info on what MD are going to have Wakefield, any hints? If it's another 'ready any time now' product, I'm going to cry.

What they told me as a potential customer, not an agent of the press - and anyway it was a few weeks ago so the situation may have changed. The best way to find out what MD are up to is to go to the show and ask them (or wait for the TIB report).

I can't go to the show, well that's not true, I can't be bothered going to the show, but will look forward to seeing what MD have up their sleeves.

Unregistered user Is Artworks 2 a Würthner Original ?

I guess I'll just have to suck it and see.
