James Bursa (part of the Netsurf web browser team) has announced that his software 'EarthData' is now available for free download from his website.
EarthData is a geographical database which contains a variety of data on every country of the world accessible via a simple menu-based interface.
It can also present and manipulate data in a variety of ways.
Some features include;-
- Many categories of up-to-date data for each country.
- Graphing of data within countries.
- Overall data for the world.
- Location maps showing the position of each country.
- Draw files of each country's national flag.
- Each category of data can be disabled to simplify the menus.
- Selection of countries based on a simple filter, for example 'Area is greater than 1,000,000kmĀ²'.
EarthData can now be downloaded from

<grumble> Doesn't work on Aemulor. :( Are the transparent menus for real or are they a pretty Photodesk effect? |
