It has been confirmed on the Acorn newsgroups today that the RiscPC is no more.
Castle Technology have been unable to obtain a number of key components needed and are therefore unable to produce another batch of machines.
Thus the RiscPC is now no longer available from Castle or RISC OS dealers.
Purchasers of new high performance RISC OS machines are now left with three choices:
The RiscPC was the flagship machine for RISC OS users until fairly recently when Castle Technology launched their IyonixPC which comfortably put even the highest spec RiscPC firmly in its place.

Ha ha! I just watched True Lies last night and that was the truth agent he was on! :) The RiscPC - I'm serious. The earlier Archimedes machines were more ruggedly built and the BBCs had more success, but my RiscPC is nine years old and still works very well. How many other 9 year old machines can work with an AGP graphics card, USB card, and can run the latest OS update? Upgrading the motherboard and processor in an early PC does not count. ;) |

He he, but RISC OS Select is currently more up-to-date than RISC OS 5! Sounds like you've been watching Kill Bill. ;) |

I agree the RiscPC has had amazing longevity. It'll be used for many years to come as well. |
