Select 2 Issue 3 out now

Posted by Andrew Poole on 17:22, 19/11/2002 | ,

"RISCOS Ltd is pleased to announce the availability of the release
version of Select 2 for download from the Select website." are the words that reached the IconBar news Email address this evening.

"The CD version of Select 2i3 is now in production, and will be shipped to subscribers as soon as possible." says the RISCOS Ltd announcement on the RISC OS Select homepage. "The CD iso image for Select 2i3 will also be available in a few days."

A full list of changes to RISC OS Select, and a full copy of the RISCOS Ltd press release are available here.

ROL ShareFS has a compatible new feature with RO5 ShareFS, so there must be some collaboration with Castle (perhaps via Pace). Doncha just love speculation :)

Cool. Only 67 more revisions to go and we'll have RISC OS Ltd RISC OS 5. ;o)

It's really nice seeing a current date in the switcher info window!

Heh - I'm sure someone could write a patch so you *always* get the current date in the switcher info window ;-)

I like the sound of that. I seem to remember a program that would let you turn any icon into a writable one, allowing you to change anything. I'd like to change "RISC OS 4.33" to "RISC OS 5" as well as having the current date in there. I'll put my RiscPC in a tower case and claim to my friends I have an Iyonix!
