www.acorn.com goes its own way

Posted by Alasdair Bailey on 17:44, 18/6/2000 | , ,

Anyone still keeping an eye on Acorn Computers Plc's former website at http://www.acorn.com will have noticed it's recently been acquired by a web-promotion firm for their own purposes.

The site is currently acting as a portal to numerous companies with 'Acorn' in their name. SafetyNet Systems Ltd of Stoke-on-Trent have registered the domain which Castle Technology would no doubt have fancied for their range of Acorn-branded machines.

The www.acorn.co.uk domain still remains in the charge of 'Element 14 Inc.'.
