Hi,
I am getting my RPC set-up and working for a good number of tasks and all is going fairly well so far. In fact I am really quite enjoying RISC OS.
Anyway, among other things I have !RDPclient all set-up and working for those small occasions I need an non RISC OS machine (ebay for starters).
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find SharedSound 1.07 or higher so the RDP client can also make use of sound redirection when required.

It looks like 1.08 is contained in the RISC OS 4.37 ROMs, and 1.10 in RISC OS SIX. However ROL don't appear to have any version of the module available for (free!) download from their site.
There are reports that version 1.04 works with !RDPclient (but no real mention as to whether audio works) - see here.
You can grab SharedSound 1.04 here from Castle. It should work fine on a RiscPC. |

You can grab SharedSound 1.04 here from Castle. It should work fine on a RiscPC. I have 1.04 but !RDPclient comes up with an error saying sound redirection only works with 1.07 or later...
Ah well will just have to do without it...
Have read through the link to the mailing list but I think the guy said RDPclient works without error on SS 1.04 but he doesn't use it for audio stuff. If you install RDPClient sound redirection is turned off as std and it will produce no errors until, that is, you turn sound redirection on.
