I'm sure there were plenty of games that used GameSuite. Bunny Race, for example, used the FastSpr module.
:o:o I've just realised it was you who made that game!

Clever :monkey:!

BTW, what was supposed to be on this page:

http://www.acornarcade.com/gamesupport/bunny/who.html

:o

Wow! Source! Yay! :E:E:E Well done :flamethrower: :)

Site news: it'll go up tomorrow.

Sorry.

Reason is that basically, I'm a perfectionist, and I'm still not happy with some of my writing in it. Also, it really needs "About" pages adding for each section; I was hoping we could get away without them for now, but each game does need a proper explanation.

I *promise* it'll go up tomorrow. Even if I'm not completely happy with it; because I'm away all weekend.

Sorry :(

Tsk, go on then :P

You should know where to find it. It's in a packdir archive if you don't recognise the extension :o

Yup. I've got a snazzy desktop level designer sitting on one of my computers at home. Maybe I should dig it out and polish it off.

Oh, probably something about me which seems extremely embarassing and stupid now.

Floppy discs? How quaint. Do you not have access to that wonderful new technology those whacky kids are using called the InterWeb or something? ;)

Hmm. I'll burn it on CD then. Might leave the source until Monday then, when I can have a look at it properly.

I tend to use floppies because I tend to be in the library, and that's all they have here; I have to go into the labs for the CD-writers. And I haven't got the internet at home at the moment :(

Cheeky request:

:flamethrower: - any chance of emailing me in the next 24 hours with a quick description of what's in that PackDir file, etc? That means I can upload it tomorrow :)

Yes, but if you just want to put the source on the site before you go away, do you really need to download it and put it on CD/floppy at all, when you could just transfer it to the right place and link to it?

[edit] Doh, almost-jinx.

Yeah; only reason I wanted to have a look at it is so I could write a short bit about how it's structured. :)

Nope, don't have a program to de-packdir files on PCs :(

I could un-packdir it, zip it and e-mail it to someone if that would help.

Ah, don't worry about it; I'll just stick it on the site and write a proper page on it next week. Thanks anyway :)

There isn't any disk protection in Asylum/Oddball. Or at least none that works - I can copy the games straight off the original floppies and run them from wherever I want.

*sigh*

When you get into the archive, in the protect dir is an app that is some copy protection stuff. Be told. :frown:

Yes, I know there's some kind of copy protection stuff there :P

Just saying that it wasn't included in Asylum or Oddball.
